Hi! I’m Devin Abraham, the Founder of Liiv, and I’m excited to have you with us on this journey!
Since joining Substack, we’ve seen our community grow, so I wanted to take a moment to re-introduce Liiv and what we’re building.
Liiv is a real estate tech startup that provides software solutions for public housing authorities.
Our platform automates property management tasks—ranging from rent collection and tenant messaging that tracks request response times, to Section 8 voucher and HUD compliance—while ensuring an unbiased rental application process that eliminates racial bias.
We started in 2021 by offering fully furnished apartments with a seamless search, book, and pay system. Since then, we’ve strategically pivoted to focus on the public housing sector, and now we’re nearing product-market fit with software tailored to the needs of housing authorities.

Cornell Demo Day + Angel Investor Meetings
I had an incredible experience at the Johnson Summer Startup Accelerator’s Demo Day. We pitched to investors and connected with stakeholders within the Cornell entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Quick story: I ran into a real estate developer from Philadelphia I’d been following on Instagram for quite some time. After months of trying to meet for coffee, Demo Day finally did the trick as he/they were in the audience! We followed up the next week, talked for almost an hour about real estate, markets, his journey, and our housing authority angle. We're confident that he/they will join our pre-seed round, and we’re excited to work with his/their network!
Engineering Updates:
In the next 2-3 weeks, we’re hiring a part-time lead engineer, as well as a full-time contract engineer to join our team until the end of 2024. We believe this will best position ourselves to scale as we close on 5 more pilots.
Revenue #’s
We’re currently at $750 in SaaS MRR.
